BHRS Workforce, Education, and Training (WET) programming provides education/training and workforce development opportunities to San Mateo County behavioral health staff, contractors, providers, clients/consumers, and family members. Through system-wide training and workforce development initiatives, WET aims to create and sustain a diverse, culturally responsive, and clinically effective workforce that provides the best possible care for our communities.
The BHRS Intern Program provides training opportunities for psychology interns, masters-level trainees, alcohol and drug certificate program students, and psychiatric residents each year. Students are welcome to attend any of the five didactic training seminars throughout the county. There are bi-monthly psychiatric grand rounds that are open to all staff and students. Regular in-service training and specialized staff training are also available for students to attend.
