Training & Workforce Development
BHRS Workforce, Education, and Training (WET) programming provides education/training and workforce development opportunities to San Mateo County behavioral health staff, contractors, providers, clients/consumers, and family members. Through system-wide training and workforce development initiatives, WET aims to create and sustain a diverse, culturally responsive, and clinically effective workforce that provides the best possible care for our communities.
Behavioral Health & Recovery Services Practicum/Internship Program
The BHRS Practicum/Internship Program offers comprehensive clinical training opportunities for master’s- and doctoral-level students enrolled in accredited mental health training programs. Students gain hands-on experience serving the diverse communities of San Mateo County, including children, youth, adults, families, and older adults across a range of cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
