Mobile Food Facilities
New! Apply Online with MyEHS
You can now apply for permits, pay invoices, and manage your
permits online using MyEHS.
Payments cannot be made to or accepted by inspectors. Payments must be made in person at the Environmental Health Services office, by mail, by phone at (650) 372-6200, or online through the MyEHS Portal.
San Mateo County Environmental Health Services is responsible for the inspection of various types of Mobile Food Facilities (MFF):
- Mobile Food Preparation Units (MFPU)
- Hot dog/espresso carts
- Limited food vehicles
- Push carts
- Food trucks
- Ice cream trucks
The Vehicle Inspection Program conducts annual certification and complaint inspections of MFFs, and inspections that may involve commissaries that service these MFFs.
How to Apply
Apply online (recommended)
Submit your Mobile Food Facility Permit Application through
the MyEHS
Portal. You can also pay your application fee online
through the portal.
