San Mateo County Commission on Disabilities Helps Youth and Young Adults with Disabilities Take Control of their Future
Join the “Stepping Up for Independence!” San Mateo County Transition to Independence Fair on October 21st

WHAT: On Saturday, October 21, more than 50 community organizations and agencies throughout San Mateo County will gather to provide information and resources to assist over 300 youth and young adults with disabilities, many of whom are transitioning to independence, and provide support for their families.

“Stepping Up for Independence!” will provide information booths, workshops, and panel discussions focused on giving youth and adults with disabilities resources to take control of their  future and live full, productive, and independent  lives. Discussion topics include employment, housing, assistive technology, healthcare, service dog information, and more.
