Below are the survey responses that demonstrate how for an overwhelming majority of behavioral health clients spirituality is a tool for recovery and wellness. Two of the surveys were conducted by the California Mental Health and Spirituality Initiative and two by the San Mateo County BHRS Spirituality Initiative in 2009 and 2011 respectively.

“The impact of Spirituality in mental Health: A review of the literature” is a 2006 report reviewing the evidence and exploring the impact that some expressions of spirituality can have as part of an integrative approach to understanding mental health and wellbeing. Find it here:
