Every year the Mental Health and Substance Abuse Recovery Commission (MHSARC) honors individuals who have found their way to a path of wellness and recovery from mental illness or substance use issues, and have been active in the consumer movement to better the lives of other consumers in the county. This year, awards will be presented at the MHSARC meeting in Room 100, 225 37th Ave., San Mateo, 3 to 5 p.m. (awards presentation begins around 4 p.m.).

Submit a nomination by January 12.
