On April 8, BHRS leadership completed part two of the Trauma-Informed Leadership Training, focused on embedding trauma-informed, equity-centered practices into daily leadership. The session emphasized building trust, supporting staff well-being, navigating change with stability, and addressing power dynamics to foster more inclusive and responsive teams.

BHRS staff view a presentationThis work directly advances the BHRS Transformation Journey, our strategic plan, by strengthening workforce capacity, promoting psychological safety, and improving the quality and equity of care. By equipping leaders with practical tools to reduce stress and support resilience, BHRS continues to invest in a healthier workforce and enhancing outcomes for the communities we serve.

Leaders also explored how to translate trauma-informed principles into action, both individually and system-wide, through intentional practices that center communication, reflection and shared accountability. This includes recognizing how stress and trauma can show up in the workplace and responding in ways that foster connection, trust and stability.

With over 220 staff engaged in foundational trauma-informed training and the rollout of a post-training toolkit, BHRS is building momentum toward a more healing-centered organization. This ongoing investment reflects a commitment to sustaining a workforce culture rooted in compassion, cultural humility and collective care.
