Tram Nguyen, MD
PGY4 Co-Chief Resident, Psychiatry Residency Training Program
Tram Nguyen completed her undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of California, Davis. Prior to attending medical school, she volunteered at one of the many student-run clinics hosted by the UC Davis School of Medicine as a medical translator. While in medical school, she returned to the student run clinics as a co-medical student director at the Willow Clinic which primarily serves the homeless population. She also led a nutrition internship which focused on lifestyle modifications for the management of long term chronic illnesses. During her fourth year in medical school, Tram founded a bi-monthly Women’s Health Class aimed at improving the health literacy of socio-economically challenged women and single mothers. As a psychiatry resident, Tram’s professional interests include child and adolescent psychiatry, community psychiatry, and cultural psychiatry. She is currently an APA-SAMHSA Minority Fellow with a scholarly project focused on cultural psychiatry. She is fluent in Vietnamese.
