Housing Hero Award nominations are open through July 31
Nominate an organization, person (landlord, property manager, case manager, etc.) or residential program that has helped individuals in San Mateo County with co-occurring mental heath and substance use issues find or keep housing. The Housing Hero Awards will take place on October 21 in Redwood City. Click here to complete an online nomination form by Friday July, 31, 2026.

Boba and belonging: How Kapwa Kultural Center & Café in Daly City is reimagining mental wellness
The Mercury News featured the Kapwa Kultural Center & Café, a historic social enterprise in Daly City rooted in the values of Kapwa (shared identity) and Ginhawa (total wellness or well-being). The Kapwa Kultural Center, a partner of the San Mateo County Filipino Mental Health Initiative, nurtures youth wellness, celebrates culture, and creates space for connection and behavioral health support.
