Dr. Andrew Tardiff (he/him) comes from a family of mental health providers and his commitment to advancing equity stems from his background as a clinical forensic psychologist. Fascinated by the interplay of mental health in diverse cultural and economic settings, Andrew directly observed the inequalities in accessing care, especially within the justice system. This determination drove him to take on the position of Workforce, Education, and Training Director in the Office of Diversity and Equity. Drawing on his clinical knowledge, his goal is to pinpoint and rectify gaps in our care system, improving training and retention initiatives to serve our workforce and community better. Andrew takes great pride in his team’s endeavors to enhance access to training and ongoing educational opportunities. These initiatives contribute significantly to elevating the proficiency and knowledge of our workforce, thereby enriching the quality of services extended to our clients and community members. Andrew considers the primary impact of his WET team to be the proactive engagement with and response to the needs of our workforce. Cultivating an environment of transparent communication and showcasing genuine inclusivity and gratitude toward our employees is at the core of our mission as a WET team. Andrew practices self-care by cooking, caring for his plants, and collecting vinyl.
