Docent Led Year-round Interpretive Walks
Redwood City

Parks/Walking Paths

Date: Third Saturdays of every month @ 10 AM

Location: Edgewood Park (10 Old Stage Coach Road)

Description: All ages. To display the treasures of Edgewood all year long, Friends of Edgewood docents guide nature hikes on the third Saturday morning of each month throughout the year. Walks will take you through a number of different plant communities, with frequent stops to take a closer look at what is happening there. It may be interesting insects, plants that would otherwise be overlooked, listening for frogs, identifying butterflies, or examining spider turrets. The closer you look, the more you will see. Regardless of the season, you are likely to learn all kinds of fascinating things that you didn’t know before. Our free walks cover about 3 miles, at a moderate pace. Families, seniors and interested children are welcome. Heavy rain cancels walks. For group reservations, email docent-coordinator@friendsofedgewood.org.
