BHRS Workforce, Education, and Training (WET) programming provides education/training and workforce development opportunities to San Mateo County behavioral health staff, clients/consumers, and family members. Through system-wide training and workforce development initiatives, WET aims to create and sustain a diverse, culturally responsive, and clinically effective workforce that provides the best possible care for our communities.

Overview

Behavioral Health & Recovery Services Intern/Trainee Program

San Mateo County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) offers comprehensive behavioral health services to adults with serious mental illness and/or co-occurring substance abuse concerns and severely emotionally-disturbed youth and families. We offer services to children, adolescents, adults, and older adults in inpatient, outpatient, and outreach programs, through our multidisciplinary staff of Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Social Workers, MFTs, Interns, Trainees, and Peer Support positions.
