California Children’s Services Medical Therapy Program
California Children’s Services (CCS) Medical Therapy Program (MTP) provides Occupational Therapy (OT) and Physical Therapy (PT) to children with eligible medical conditions.
Some of the conditions which qualify a child to receive CCS MTP services include (but are not limited to) cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, rheumatoid arthritis, spinal cord injuries, arthrogryposis, and osteogenesis imperfecta.
Therapy services are provided at two Medical Therapy Units (MTUs) in San Mateo County.
Services
- Any child from birth to 21 years old who has a medically eligible condition. Some of the conditions which qualify a child to receive CCS MTP services include (but are not limited to): cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, rheumatoid arthritis, spinal cord injuries, arthrogryposis, and osteogenesis imperfecta.

- There is no financial eligibility for MTP services. Every child with a medically eligible condition is eligible for the program regardless of his/her family income.
How to Apply
If you think your child may be eligible for therapy services through the MTP, call the CCS administrative office to request an application or download an application and mail or fax to the CCS Administrative office.
