Profile

Dr. de la Cruz graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine and completed her psychiatry residency at the University of California, San Francisco. She is currently the Medical Director of the Behavioral Health and Recovery Services, an integrated system that delivers and monitors mental health and substance abuse services for San Mateo County, and previously served in the same role at Santa Cruz County. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor (Affiliated) at Stanford University School of Medicine, a board certified psychiatrist and a certified addiction medicine specialist. Her areas of expertise include public psychiatry administration and substance use disorders. She is Co-Chair of the Medical Service System of Care Committee (MSSOC) and a member of the Governing Committee of the County Behavioral Health Directors Association of California.
