Information for the In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Provider Registry
In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) consumers can work with the Registry to obtain a list of pre-screened in-home care providers. The Registry is constantly looking for more providers to help meet the increasing needs of the IHSS consumers.
How does the Registry work?
We refer providers’ names to IHSS consumers who are looking to hire a homecare provider.
Who will be my employer?
The IHSS consumer is the employer. The Public Authority maintains the Registry, refers names to clients and handles your payroll.
Will you train me?
We offer free, voluntary workshops to help you learn homecare skills. For more information, visit our Workshops page.
How much do you pay?
You will be paid $14.25 per hour and $21.38 for overtime.

Do I get paid vacation and sick time, or holidays off?
We do not offer paid vacation or holidays. IHSS providers currently working became eligible to recieve Paid sick leave hours on July 1, 2018. Use this Paid Sick Leave Form and submit to the address on the back of the form if you wish to utilize these hours.
What will my work schedule be like as a Registry Provider?
Being a Registry Provider means you can have a very flexible schedule. You can choose what days and hours you work. We do not assign schedules. You will work out your schedule with your client, based on their need and your availability.
What if I have issues with my client?
The Public Authority will support you in resolving issues that may arise.
