The Care of Pediatric Emergencies, Trauma and Resuscitation conference will cover a wide array of critical care and emergency pediatric care topics that are emergent in nature, and require skills in the initial resuscitation or treatment of a pediatric patient. It will provide educational and professional constructive learning opportunities related to the stabilization and transfer of pediatric patients.

- Apply an evidence-based approach to creating a diagnostic and management plan for patients with life-threatening conditions such as traumatic brain injury, sepsis, and cardiopulmonary arrest.
- Recognize critically ill and injured children and apply appropriate management strategies including cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
- Employ new strategies for optimizing analgesia and sedation of children in the emergency department setting.
- Apply updated guidelines for screening child abuse cases.
